BENTO BOX IDEAS - Peanut Butter and Banana Bears Lunchbox

Friday, 21 July 2017

This easy Peanut Butter and Banana Bears Lunchbox is all you need for a fun and healthy lunch box that won't disappoint the taste buds and health benefits

Too easy and too cute and too fun to not eat healthier. Still want to grab a candy bar from a convenient store? Or order fried chicken for lunch? Don't do that to yourself and start making healthy and whole-food choices for you and your health (and, for your budget).

This sandwich was super fun to make and my husband and I were eating 2 boxes within a day. Mostly because there are lesser calories in veggies but they're so good for you and it's better to eat more fruits and veggies than to eat meat or fried chicken or mcdonald's. You can prep this the night before you go to work or in the morning if you wake up earlier than usual.

All you need is some of the following:

Whole-Grain Brown Bread (you can also use rye bread)

Whole Peanut Butter/Almond Butter (you can opt for the organic version but this one I made with what I had lying in our pantry. Be careful of added oils and added sugar!)

Blueberries (fresh or frozen)

1/2 a carrot & 1 cucumber  (or if you have a bigger lunchbox, you can add more or any other vegetable of your choice)

How'd you cut the bread like that?

I used the mouth of a mug or a glass to cut through the bread loaf. I ate the remaining parts of the bread while I made this lunchbox lol You can do the same but if you don't like the crust, you don't have to.

How'd you make the bear face?? It's so cute!!!

I had three layers of the loaf. So in-between the loaves, I spread my almond or peanut butter and stacked them on top of each other. I also spread some almond/peanut butter on top of the layers, I sliced some bananas and put the blueberries to form the face. Just follow the photo, it's super easy!

I hope you guys try it and I hope you really like it! Better than any 'ol convenient store lunch that's probably not so good for you.

Happy cooking, and Happy Eating! Thanks for reading!
